Investment casting
Investment casting has been a reliable manufacturing technique for centuries, but 3D printing has accelerated the process.
You need a reliable and experienced team of additive manufacturers to make sure your investment casting project is completed to your standards and on your timeline.
Quickparts offers rapid production of casting patterns from its production facilities worldwide. With expert teams who have been producing investment casting patterns for more than 20 years, using additive platforms and materials that are being constantly refined and updated to meet ever more rigorous standards, we meet your needs for prototype and production-grade casting patterns.
How it Works
Investment casting, also known as lost-wax casting, involves creating a pattern that is then coated with a liquid ceramic layer and then a dry ceramic layer, which is then dried in environmentally controlled conditions. This shell is then filled with molten metal, which cools and solidifies into the desired part.
Through 3D printing techniques, Quickparts has drastically reduced the time, cost and effort needed for investment casting. With our Stereolithography (SLA) process, your patterns can be completed as fast as five days, with little to no restriction on the size or complexity of the part.
Let us be your resource to determine which manufacturing process is right for your project.
